As you will be aware all organisations and businesses are required to review their usual working arrangements in light of Government, Public Health England and NHS England guidance on managing the Covid19 or Corona Virus pandemic.
With this in mind we had to identify how we can continue to operate as your UNISON branch while being mindful of health and safety needs.
We have therefore agreed that as of now we will not accept visitors to either of the UNISON Offices.
Initial contact with us will be by telephone or email only. We will aim to deal with any situation requiring our intervention via telephone contact with your employers either in a conference call or by discussion on your behalf with your manager/ HR as appropriate. We will only provide face to face contact where it is an essential meeting, and there are no other options available.
We will continue to support our members but we will be doing it in a different way, with a reassurance that no-one will be left unsupported.
These plans will be reviewed on a regular basis alongside any further national guidance and updates provided as necessary.
Please be assured we will still be here to provide the support you require it will just be delivered in a different way, and we will continue to work with your employers to ensure they also operate responsibly, reasonably and lawfully during this time.
